Yoshi's Woolly World 3-1

  1. Yoshi Wooly World Monde 3-1
  2. Yoshi Woolly World 5 2

If being adorable was a crime, Yoshi's Woolly World would get a life sentence. In a world made up of yarn, wool, and other craft supplies, yarn Yoshi explores, hops on platforms, and solves tricky puzzles. Where classic Yoshi shot eggs, his fabric incarnation tosses balls of yarn to clear paths, tie up enemies, and knit together platforms. Yoshi and Cookies is the first level of World 3 in Yoshi's Woolly World and Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World. Many elements of this level reference Yoshi's Cookie. Dec 11, 2016  Welcome to Yoshi's Woolly World! The purpose of this guide is to walk you through obtaining 100% completion in this game. It's not necessarily meant for those who just want to finish the main game, as the game was designed to be easy enough to beat on its own.

Layout[edit]

Being cookie-themed, this level starts with a single Snoot, a single Shy Guy, and a few Monty Moles, with certain cookies behaving like Flip Panels and Yoshi Cookie walls falling down. As Yoshi advances further in the level, there are now cookies that must be hit with yarn balls to serve as temporary platforms for Yoshi to walk on. Following that is an area where Snoots shoot vertically. Afterwards, a Hook Guy appears, followed by some crumbling walls and the first checkpoint. After the checkpoint, there are more Flip Panel cookies, followed by more Shy Guys. Yoshi will then encounter a stack of three Snoots over a Monty Mole Patch. After some Hook Guys, the second checkpoint is reached. More crumbling Yoshi Cookie walls are encountered, as well as more Flip Panel cookies. At the final stretch, Yoshi must rush past and jump on each of the crumbling walls, with the last three forming a staircase to the goal roulette.

Collectibles[edit]

Smiley Flowers[edit]

  • Smiley Flower 1: At a Flip Panel cookie platform just above the second Snoot. To obtain it, Yoshi must throw a yarn ball at a cookie platform to the left, then jump to the right to access the platform.
  • Smiley Flower 2: Immediately after the first Hook Guy, there is an outlined warp pipe that Yoshi can access. Inside, Yoshi must collect all beads triggered by the exclamation circle before time runs out to get the Smiley Flower.
  • Smiley Flower 3: Inside the first Monty Mole Patch.
  • Smiley Flower 4: Yoshi must enter a white warp pipe just after the first Monty Mole Patch. Inside, Yoshi must collect all beads triggered by the exclamation circle before time runs out to get the Smiley Flower.
  • Smiley Flower 5: After a row of three crumbling Yoshi Cookie walls, there is a hidden Winged Cloud that Yoshi can activate to reveal a cannon, which he can then use to launch himself high up, then walk along the crumbling walls to reach the Smiley Flower.

Wonder Wools[edit]

  • Wonder Wool 1: In between the second set of crumbling Yoshi Cookie walls; Yoshi must wait until they crumble, then go for the Wonder Wool.
  • Wonder Wool 2: On top of some cloud platforms above the group of vertically-shooting Snoots. Yoshi must jump on the buttons they fire to get it.
  • Wonder Wool 3: In a hidden Winged Cloud on a platform with the first Monty Mole after the first checkpoint.
  • Wonder Wool 4: At the top of a cookie wall. To get it, Yoshi must throw a yarn ball so that it ricochets off a checker of three platforms, then use the platforms to obtain the Wonder Wool.
  • Wonder Wool 5: In a hidden Winged Cloud at a Flip Panel cookie with a crumbling Yoshi Cookie wall stacked on top of it.

Collecting all of the Wonder Wools knits Cookie Yoshi back together.

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island[edit]

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island is the first game in the Yoshi series, released in 1995 for the Super Nintendo. In America, the game was released as a sequel to Super Mario World, though it was originally known as Super Mario: Yoshi's Island in Japan. The game received an updated port to the Game Boy Advance, called Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. In this game, Yoshi must reunite Baby Mario with Baby Luigi, after Baby Luigi is kidnapped by Kamek.

Boo Balloons appear as rare enemies, only appearing in 2-4 (Bigger Boo's Fort) and 4-3 (Don't Look Back!). They inflate after being hit with one of Yoshi's eggs. After three hits, they explode, yielding a prize of coins. A similarly-named enemy (which also inflates), the Balloon Boo, appears in New Super Mario Bros.

Bigger Boo is the boss of 2-4 (Bigger Boo's Fort). Being a Boo, this boss will become invisible when Yoshi is looking at him. To damage him, Yoshi must ricochet his eggs off of the walls, when facing away from Bigger Boo. Bigger Boo inflates every time he is hit, before he explodes.

Yoshi's Island DS[edit]

Yoshi's Island DS is the sequel to Yoshi's Island, released in 2006 for the Nintendo DS.

The Gobblin enemy is an uncommon foe, which cannot harm Yoshi. Instead, Gobblins block Yoshi's path. To defeat a Gobblin, Yoshi must feed him six eggs, with the Gobblin growing with each egg eaten. After the sixth egg, the Gobblin will explode, clearing the path.

Yoshi's New Island[edit]

Yoshi's New Island is a video game for the Nintendo 3DS. It is the sequel to Yoshi's Island, for the Super Nintendo. In this game, the Yoshis on Egg Island help Baby Mario reunite with his brother, Baby Luigi, after Baby Luigi is kidnapped by Baby Bowser.

Mega Eggdozers and Metal Eggdozers are features unique to this game. Yoshi can create one by swallowing a Mega Guy or Metal Guy, respectively.

  • 'World 2-1 (Koopa Canyon)'

  • 'World 1-2 (Chomp Rock 'n' Roll)'

Yoshi also demonstrates this ability in one of the commercials for the game.

Yoshi's Woolly World[edit]

Yoshi's Woolly World is a platformer game released by for the Nintendo Wii U. In this game, Kamek transforms the Yarn Yoshis on Craft Island into Wonder Wool, so Yarn Yoshi must rescue his fellow Yoshis.

Yarn Yoshi bloats up whenever he consumes an enemy and turns them into an egg.

Yarn Yoshi bloats up bigger if he consumes an enemy whilst the player is using the 'Make all yarn balls big!' badge.

He can also unravel some of the scenery.

Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World[edit]

Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World is a Nintendo 3DS version of the original Wii U game. As a new feature of the game, there are unlockable stop-motion shorts, featuring Yarn Yoshi and Poochy.

In the 'Snooze Glutton' short, Yarn Yoshi ends up eating his noisy alarm clock, which continues to ring inside him.

In the 'Watermelon Munch' short, Yarn Yoshi stuffs himself by eating an entire watermelon slice, before spitting out the seeds.

Yoshi's Crafted World[edit]

Yoshi's Crafted World was released for the Nintendo Switch in 2019, and developed by Good-Feel.
